Refilming and Editing!

Image
Welcome back my enthusiastic friend's! In today's blog I will be talking about how we needed to refilm and how we started editing the music video. In order for us to film we all need to be present because each person has a role. And that was our biggest issue as a group. Riley had work almost every day this weekend. And Peyton and Connor didn't have a ride to or from the fire station. So, figuring out a day all of us were free was very difficult and time consuming. We eventually all agreed that Wednesday was the perfect day to film except Connor had swim practice, so we had to film very quick. Thats when all the filming problems started. We had to continuously refilm because we were in a rush trying to hurry up each scene. My shot with Connor had to keep being redone because in order for riley to get the right angle she had to stand in the middle of the street. So, every time a car came, we had to redo the shot. Which was very annoying and a huge waste of ti

The Filming Strategies!

Welcome back my enthusiastic friend's! In today's blog I will be talking about the filming process and what strategies we used as a group to perfect each shot. Today we went back to the fire station to film. But this time Connor came long as the guy who Marissa will date that my character will be cheating with. So, we started off shotting the arguing scene between Marissa and Connor which was a wide shot. I stood behind Peyton with Riley as Peyton was in charge of filming and I was in charge of what they had to say in the argument. Even know the dialogue won't be heard. It still had to look believable you know. After we filmed that scene, we moved to the scene shot in the staircase as Marissa and Connor had to have their arms around each other, then my character calls his phone and Marissa gets mad. During the phone call Peyton starts to film but then passes the phone to Riley who then does an over the shoulder shot of Connors phone saying my name next to it

The process of each shot!

Hello there my enthusiastic friends! In today's blog I will be talking about how we finished the solo shots. The day that we filmed our first few shots I was not in them because we didn't have a guy who would be in the video. But now we have my friend Connor who agreed to be part of the music video. So, my part is being caught cheating with Marissa's boyfriend. And that now boyfriend is Connor. And all of this will be discussed in my next blog. But in today's blog I had finished up looking at the last two solo shots we filmed which were in scenes six and nine. In scene six  Riley comes to Marissa's room to console her. And then Marissa gives her a hug and thanks her.  That scene is a solo shot as Riley is filmed alone opening the door to Marissa's room then Marissa appears in view. And then they are both seen together hugging and talking. In scene nine t here is a wide shot showing the firefighters playing music and attempting to cheer her up.

Production blog: First day of the video!

Welcome back my enthusiastic friends! In today's blog I will be talking about the first day we met up and I was in charge of all the props used. So, me and my group members met up at the fire station in downtown Fort Lauderdale. We then ran into my dad who works at the fire station, and he brought us upstairs into the kitchen. And me and my group members took a little tour around the station with my dad leading us. Then me and my group decided on which parts of the video we wanted to film first. Peyton did all of the filming and I was strictly in charge of props. So, my job was to hand riley props or put out props before the scene was shot. For example, In the bathroom scene I had to go in and remove all of the excess things on the counter so that the shot didn't seem to cluttered and take away from the true meaning of the shoot. Another example would be in the scene where Marissa finds out the cheating scandal and Shes in her bed she has to be crying. And obvio

Production blog: The schedule

Image
Welcome back my enthusiastic friend's! In today's blog I will be discussing the schedule for all members in my music video. So, to refresh, in my music video I will have Riley, Marissa and Peyton. The only problem is that our storyline requires a guy. So, in order to film multiple scenes, we need to find a guy to play the role of the boyfriend and the cheater. As our story line is a love triangle! As well as a heartfelt love story with a cool ending! And when it comes to the schedule, it's going to be difficult to work around. Riley has a job and Peyton lives far from our filming location. So, finding a day where Riley is off of work and Peyton has a ride will be a struggle. But we were able to film at the Fire Station today which was awesome because we got the first few scenes done. We did have to go out of order because we don't have a guy to fulfill the role yet. We were thinking about using our friend Connor. The only problem with him is that he has

An inset will be used to focus on the phone. He WON'T tell her what it said!       Scene Four:   An establishing shot. A sweeping view of the couple fighting. Following a tracking shot of Marissa running out.       Scene Five:   Marissa calls her best friend Riley to tell her that he is cheating. This will be a split screen as they are both on the phone.       Scene Six:   Riley comes to Marissa's room to console her. Marissa gives her a hug and thanks her.       Scene Seven:   With a point-of-view shot, Marissa goes to the bathroom to wi
