Finding the right music!

     Hello there my enthusiastic friends! In today's blog I will be discussing how me, and my group mates found the perfect songs for our video. We started searching for music choices when we had only a few scenes left to film. So that the editing process would be faster. Because our film genre is thriller, I knew the song had to have suspense. So, I did some research and watched a few thriller films just to get an idea of what the song should sound like. Majority of the music had the same beat to it. So, it was a little easier to know what our film needed to stand out. Then I went onto YouTube to find any free music that I could listen too. I had to make sure that there was no copyright and that all songs we chose were allowing us to use them. So, I started looking up eerie thriller movie songs. But most of them needed approval which me and my group did not have time to get. So, I kept searching. Then Riley ended up finding a very good song that me and everyone in the group agreed too. But then Peyton also found a cool song that would fit our genre. So what better thing to do then to put two songs in the thriller film to switch it up a bit. And those songs didnt require any approval so we were able to use them right then and their. Thats all for today! The journey is over soon but not over yet! Till next time my enthusiastic friends!

Production blog: First day of the video!

                Welcome back my enthusiastic friends! In today's blog I will be talking about the first day we met up and I was in charge of all the props used. So, me and my group members met up at the fire station in downtown Fort Lauderdale. We then ran into my dad who works at the fire station, and he brought us upstairs into the kitchen. And me and my group members took a little tour around the station with my dad leading us. Then me and my group decided on which parts of the video we wanted to film first. Peyton did all of the filming and I was strictly in charge of props. So, my job was to hand riley props or put out props before the scene was shot. For example, In the bathroom scene I had to go in and remove all of the excess things on the counter so that the shot didn't seem to cluttered and take away from the true meaning of the shoot.
